Fools for the secular, instead of fools for Christ

Hypnotism

Blessings.  This blog is simple.  The only hindrance will be your continued swift movement of the eye and mind to other things of comfort.  Do you wish to continue to look the other way?  I distinctly remember the days when I did the same.  It was in a flash, I would sweep the thoughts of the "deep" far away from me, then to move on to the next thought.  Without training from the Holy Spirit, our next thought is not always our own.  Think about that.  Why not get in the drivers' seat so that your next thought is from the Lord?..... How about working towards this goal, that the next thought would be good and wholesome and educational, sanctifying you?

See:  2 Corinthians 4:3-4  "And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing.  The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. "

See:   Ephesians 5:11 "Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them."

Examining my 13 year old son at this time in my life is very educational.  I have two older children (much older).  It is almost as though I raised 2 generations.  This teaches much.

You see, my 13 year old is seeking Christ, earnestly.  He is trying to figure out what happened to "mom".  What happened to his mom, (me) is that she was absolutely, supernaturally woke up by the Lord, filled with His Holy Spirit and told to be extremely active for the Kingdom.  I am in God's camp.   Now, I know Him, not just about Him.  I follow Jesus, not religion.  I am delighted to be hated by the world and questioned by most secular Christians.

We talk about it.  My son actually (lovingly) calls me a Jesus Hippie.  He is asking tons of questions and to my delight is letting me answer them to the best of my ability.  He prays on his knees with me and loves the Lord.  He is ready to take the leap!  Praise God!!!

He asks things about advertisement, about homosexuality and how to get to heaven.  How do you like that for deep?

He watches a lot of baseball on TV and asked about all of the advertisement signs.  I got to explain that looking at those over and over again will typically program you to want that item.  If you want to drink beer, sugary drinks and buy car insurance, looking at these signs at the baseball stadium can certainly help you make a decision.

He wanted to rent a PG13 movie on Redbox.  I looked at the content of the movie and it included drugs, violence and sex.  Now, parents did that "13" convince you that at age 13 you really want to expose your child (yes, child) to these topics?  There is the power of "looking" at something.  Most of you are voted into the secular belief that the "13" brands that as acceptable for your child.  According to the Bible, no age should be watching and being entertained by these topics.  I was convicted by the Lord of this about 2 years ago.  I am embarrassed to say that my selfishness was the issue.  You see, I wanted to watch this trash not that long ago, and my son was being exposed to it.  Oh, yes he certainly loves to see this worldly sewage.  I was not doing my job of protecting him.  Thank you Lord for pricking my heart so dearly now.

Will you wake up to the spiritual world?  We are so comfy, educated and confident that we keep living on what is tactile.  The New Testament alone shows you so much of the demonic world, will you quit closing that Book and realize it is all a warning for you?  The God of the universe has provided you a Hand book, especially for this evil time in history.

We have bingo in Catholic churches and we have raw pop music in exercise classes at churches......The devil loves to go to church.  He happens to have what could count easily in the millions of helpers as well.  Will the Christian population ever open their eyes to this hypnotism that is going on?

I can say that lack of education is part of the problem.  If you preacher never preaches or teaches anything other than Christ's love for you, you are not getting fed.  I would love to speak to small groups and various churches on the occult, and what really is the occult, to them.  We have leaders in churches that are not filled with the Holy Spirit, who are not capable of discerning the topics at hand, and teaching them with power.  This is common and has always been the case.  They may be leaders in the "world" and great speakers, organizers and directors, but they are not chosen for God's purpose:  To lead and teach the Word.

You say, "What? Occult?".  Yes.  There are powerful demons out there.  These are angels who in their community, have levels of strength.  They have names.  They are masters at what they do.  Once they have non-believers in their clutches, they are more free to lull the Christians to sleep.  They work slowly.  They convince in layers.  They studied for generations, prior to your birth.

See:  James 2:19 "You believe that there is one God.  Good!  Even the demons believe that---and shudder".

The bar lowers and we can't always perceive it has been lowered.

We say things like, "Well, I needed to check this or that out to see if it was ok for my kids to watch".  You fell into the trap!  Traps are hidden!  Do you think the demonic world is stupid enough to set traps that you can see?  Pride takes a fall!

Let me be the first to say that I am a sinner.  Pride kept me from waking up. When things were good, it was easy to follow Christ and be faithful to His Word.   Then came the funerals, the divorce, the abuse.......But, I made my decisions in life.  I tried to write my own life, out of my pain.  Life wasn't fair.   I bargained with alcohol twice in my life, bargained with what was appropriate in the sexual world.  But, our Lord wiped the grime away.  He saved me, redeemed me and gave me a new life.  Now, to not sit on my salvation!

See:   Titus 1:15-16:  "To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure.   In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted.  They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him......."

Neil T. Anderson is a trusted and true author and religious leader who has great books on this topic.  Perry Stone is a young pastor, about my age who also has some books.  He hasn't been around long, so for me to endorse him, I would do that loosely.  In general, I think he does a good job.  I need more time with Perry to fully endorse him.

What you need to do is look with a broad sweep at all of this in our world that mesmerizes.  Advertisements,  meditative music, TV, news, alcohol, yoga and meditative prayer.  No, you can't live in a bubble, but discern what you are exposing yourself to.  You can't compromise.  You are too weak.  You are a vagabond, traveling through this world.  Build up with the Word and with authoritative prayer.  Sharpen up your thoughts.  Remove items from your home that would be questionable.  We have Christians practically worshiping movie stars, political leaders and food!  It is all the same!

Your depression, nightmares, OCD, sexual perversion and on and on and on could very likely be due to your dabbling in Satan's Stew.

All you need to do is think about it.  If you fear reading this blog more than your Father in Heaven, you better get your feet on solid ground with the Lord.  You should fear Him more than the Devil and his tricks.

Some of us Christians were given discernment and for us to not help you with what we have been shown is a sin.   Those who know me well, know how far the Lord has went to show me this.  It makes one heck of an evangelist when you have had the curtain lifted a few times.  I have asked God plenty of times, "Why me?". "Do you really think I am this strong?".

Get away from the out of balance preaching and teaching that is out there and take a scouring pad to your life.  Are you really on the salvation bus?  If you are, what is your fruit?  Sanctification will happen and it will progress in a believer.  Get on your knees and give your entire life to the Lord and do it now.  Ask Him to expose the evil in your life and the deep recesses of your heart.  If you say this with meaning, He will.  Why would you not?  Who are you fooling?  He sees your every move (with love) and knows your heart.  You cannot hide from Him.  He is willing to help you.  You meet Him at where you are and He will absolutely take over.  He already knows your thoughts, so if you are saying, "I'll get around to following Christ like that some other time, not now", He knows that.  Isn't that enough to change you?

I blog because the alarms are going off.  The Lord is returning and if not in your lifetime, your life is but a mist.  James 4:14.

Get real and get on the bus.  Once on the bus, grow up in the Lord and get out there to profess God's love to the world and help those who are perishing.  There is a house burning down with people in it and you just watch it burn.  God help us.

Saving a $25.00 co-pay by going to church.............

Ok:   I will explain the image below.  Keep reading....................

What is it with all the life application teaching these days?  Can we just have a preacher open up the book of Matthew (the toughest one to teach out of, in my opinion), and preach out of that for a year?  How about leaving our life experiences out of preaching more and remind us that it is not about us?  How about stopping the endless years of working on our "journey" in "Bible Study" and be finally be claimed healed enough to go out and be life to others?  (Hang around with me.  I'll assist you in moving forward, not stagnant)

Not to start out too harsh, but I see the pendulum swinging in a dangerous way, and how do you reverse this?

My sister and I used to claim that we didn't need therapy (this was many years ago), and we could save our $25.00 co-pay by sitting in church.  The preacher can just talk to us for free and yes, we called it free therapy.  We were under a trance back then, but the devil works like that.  We don't know we are in the trance until we pull out of it and say, "Whew, what just happened there?".  Thank you, Lord.  The God of second chances.  He has given me more than a couple.

I don't know everything, but I am very observant.  I see what appears to be very reputable churches "buying" modules of some kind of dribble and then they present that, and preach a little around it.  How does the Holy Spirit work in that?  You mean to tell me that you as a herald, a town crier for the message of Salvation are going to tell the Holy Spirit that you already have the docket full for Sunday and are going to talk on depression?  Do you not understand familial spirits and that some people are very susceptible to taking home your "junk" you are preaching on, which is not life filling, life sustaining and life giving?

I want to go to church to open my Bible, hear the Word of God, be explained to some degree what God is speaking through the pastor about this to his flock, get revived with great music to give Glory to the Lord and hug and chat with sisters and brothers in Christ.  To be filled for the week with community worship.

If you want to add a life application teaching, please don't do it when you are supposed to preach.  Do it on Wednesday nights or any time but the typical gathering time on the Day Of Rest.

"Preach" in the dictionary (Google) states "to proclaim or teach."  It should be a combination of both.

The cool thing is that I am not employed by a church.  I make a living working in the medical field full time.  I am an evangelist for Christ full time as well.  Whatever the Holy Spirit puts on my heart.  The phone rings, and there I go to a nursing home, a parking lot or give away tracks and books.  (Prayer ALWAYS precedes the work the Lord has for me to do)  I have nothing to gain by what I am called to do.  I can step on toes,  I can be politically incorrect because I don't have to worry about my salary, my retirement plan or my tithers pulling their chips back out of the game.

If I choose to write a book, or travel to speak in the future, I will be situating myself as to be hated for the Gospel.  My income should never drive my participation in the introducing others to Jesus Christ.  Either loss of income, or gain of income.  It isn't my money anyhow!

You may say I am an arm chair quarterback (aren't we all over-using that term???).  Well, I am qualified.  I am filled with the Holy Spirit, born again, daily Bible reader and prayer on my knees lady.  I walk in the Holy Spirit, obey the Holy Spirit, smash down idols as quickly as they build up in my life type person.

I believe in the Old Testament and its value for THIS DAY.  I feel we have washed over it with a grace message that leaves people abandoned when tragedy hits and they can't understand the nature of God because they never studied the history of Adam through Jesus.  It shocks me when I see weathered old Bibles in peoples hands and they are simply the New Testament!  Yes, have a cheap NT in your purse or car, but your bread for life should be the entire Spirit inspired Word of God!!

I also feel that old hymns have increased value in this day.  Read those lyrics!  They are not "Poor me, I am a defeated Christian" type lyrics (please discern what is happening to contemporary Christian music).  I am unfortunately hearing respected pastors denounce the old hymns.  Yes, we need always to have a "new song".  But, history proves that the Good News doesn't change, just because our world is visibly a mess.  It is even more terrifying if you use your spiritual eyes to see what is going on in this broken world.

I have no beef with my current preacher.  I just want to make that clear.  I have heard awesome preachers in my community.  I visit churches of friends and it is delightful to hear messages about  1) Revival  2) The Lord's Return  3) The need to be born again  4) Sin, repentance and sanctification.

Unfortunately, I see the word "I" used quite a bit throughout this blog.  "I" apologize for that.  (smiley face)

Let's get to some good news.  The Creator of the Universe really deserves our attention.  He is trying to communicate to us, through His Holy Spirit.  He deserves all of our praise.  He is worthy of all honor and glory.  Let's not short change things by substituting what appears to be "good" for what is "Great".  Let's realize that trends that cause comfort (false comfort--we all have to face pain) are very difficult to reverse.

Let's not have another generation or 10 for that matter,  find out that what they got in "church" didn't add up with life.  Let's not have people raise their fists to God and say, "They told me at church this was going to be easy".  "Look what I've done for you, God and this is what I get!!"

Let's be careful about teaching about divorce, depression and other hard knocks things.  Only a Holy Spirit filled pastor should be doing this, and only if the Holy Spirit is prompting Him to.  (Many leaders in the name of Christ are not born again.              Sorry.)

Hard knocks preaching should be about the subjects of  1) The oppressed,  2) The missionaries in the field and 3) The imprisoned for Christ.  (I am not limiting the subjects, as there are more than that.)  We in America are so stuck on what Oprah said about depression still from the 80's need to move on in Victory!  Let's quit looking in the mirror and turn it around to capture a reflection of all of those outside of the circle of "me".

Lord, thank You for loving us.  Thank you that you give us an ability to change into Your image, more every day.  It simply is a gift, that You would save us.  We ask Lord that pastors would discern Your will.  Time is short, eternity is long.  So many are hungry and misled, and don't know it.

John 4:23-24  "Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.  God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and truth".

Matthew 5:17-18  "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.  I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished."

Potter's Field

Potter's Field (engraving)

They bought a Potter's Field, to bury poor Judas.  His silver led to a kiss

Contrast Apostle Paul, his greetings to the cheek of a Christian we greatly miss

Lord, you went out to that Potter's Field, to come looking for me

I went from a potsherd to a daughter to be celebrated for all Eternity

But to not be broken, what a tragedy that would be

Millstone around my neck, weighted down deep in the sea

The shards of life we claim in victory.  His life shining through us

Rivers of Life, Holy Spirit, you refill as you gladly leak through us

The world calls your children crutch bearers, weak, needy rubble

Pharisees' blindness, Pius comments, all opposite of humble

Oh, Lord, Glory day when Bridegroom meets Bride

Stave off my eagerness and that most feared Spiritual Pride

I pray 'till You come, and read your Holy Word

Saving Gospel, How I praise the day you were heard!!

Acts 1:18
Matthew 27:3-10
Romans 16:16
Luke 17:1-2

Pride Goes Before A Fall

It's the deadliest sin of all

Subtle serpent, she listened to your call

Do we think Potter, this clay knows best?

Broken sheep's legs it takes, Shepherd; You find us to reconstruct, to save

Until we are children of God, we know not how to obey

As long as I breathe, You knock, or did I harden my heart beyond repair?

Did I put myself high above and placed in my own king's chair?

Do we stop to pray or do we even know how or care?

In heaven every knee will bow and explain dear soul, why not do it now?

Weighing others sins against ours, instead of our eyes on You

Lord, call us to Your Word, humble us and Holy Spirit, a sin against You is that one which You shalt not
allow

Peter Sword

Lord, that you see the finished work of art in all of us

That you bring many of Your sons to Glory

Help me understand the rock of Peter within me

That You are the author and finisher of our story

So quick to react we are in action and in speech

A front runner Peter was he, beyond even the most beloved, John

His feet on top of water, blessed Jesus within reach

Water was more than his livelihood, isn't it that which we all fear?

Death, sickness, failure----all of these idols, which we happen to hold dear

Every day I walk with You, I am reminded of the sword, to be put back in its sheath, away.

For dear Peter had no idea, that in his future, he would hold the Kingdom of Heaven's Keys one day..........
